Halcyon started out as a cask beer, brewed originally at Thornbridge Hall in their early days and it has remained a firm favourite among drinkers over the years since. They moved it from cask to keg as it suited the style better, and it is now also in 440ml cans which we think really work for this one. It is an Imperial IPA with West Coast leanings as it pours with a nice clarity (just a hint of haze from the generous hop additions) and finishes beautifully bitter. They use an intricate and world-spanning mix of hops, featuring a variety from the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand, which come together for an explosion of flavour. Expect a whole variety of taste as pine, grapefruit, lemon and mango all burst forth from this beer.
