Benno Trappistenbier is a farmhouse ale (ABV 6.9%) named after Engelszell Abbey's Abbot Benno Stumpf. The monks use Saison ale yeast, Pilsner malt and a blend of European hops to craft this bright, refreshing and satisfying beer. Reddish amber in colour with an off-white head, Benno offers aromas of bread, spice and honey; flavour is spicy and earthy, with fruity acidity tempered by a touch of honey. Finish is dry and lightly bitter.
